and intruded by dolerite and dyke rocks but there are also numerous small volcanic cones which post-date glacial episodes; some shallow gullies mark the sites |
of ephemeral past water flows from thaw waters from the Marr Glacier; occasional surface salt precipitations may be due to evaporation of excess water |
